Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Not legal advice. This policy is a template provided for convenience and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed by a lawyer licensed in Ontario, Canada to confirm it meets the Ontario Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (and any successor legislation) before relying on it.

1. Plans and billing

TrueProfit offers free and paid plans. Paid business plans are CAD $19 and $49 per month, and paid TrueProfit Personal plans are CAD $4.99 and $9.99 per month. Paid plans are billed in advance each billing period and are described further in our Terms of Service. Prices shown at checkout govern, plus any applicable taxes.

2. Auto-renewal

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, until you cancel. We disclose the renewal and price at the time you subscribe, and we give advance notice before any price change applies to a renewal. You can turn off renewal at any time by cancelling (see below).

3. How to cancel

You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee, by:

  • opening your account billing settings and cancelling your subscription; or
  • emailing support@trueprofit.ca and asking us to cancel.

Cancellation stops future charges. Your paid access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which the account moves to the free plan or closes. We will act on a cancellation request promptly and within the time required by applicable law.

4. Refunds

Because the Service is a monthly digital subscription you can cancel at any time, we generally do not provide refunds or pro-rated credits for the current billing period after it has started, and cancellation takes effect at the end of that period. However:

  • Consumer rights are preserved. If you are a consumer in Ontario, nothing in this policy removes any refund, cancellation, or remedy you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 and its regulations (or any successor legislation) that cannot be waived. Where that law gives you a right to cancel and receive a refund (for example, for certain agreements, misrepresentations, or unfair practices), we will honour it.
  • Billing errors. If you were charged in error, charged after a valid cancellation, or charged an incorrect amount, contact us and we will correct it and refund any amount wrongly charged.
  • Discretionary refunds. We may, at our discretion, offer a full or partial refund in other circumstances, for example a recent accidental renewal reported promptly.

5. How to request a refund or raise a concern

To request a refund, dispute a charge, or exercise a cancellation right, email support@trueprofit.ca with your account email and the charge details. We aim to respond within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to your original payment method; the time to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the “last updated” date above. Changes do not reduce rights that accrued before the change or that cannot be waived under applicable consumer-protection law.
